200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

For the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Method

Making the Cordial: Combine all the ingredients into a pot, bring to a gentle boil, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, take off the stove and leave to cool down completely. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for up to one month.

To make Premix: Mix every liquid ingredients into one large bottle, let it rest for one hour, then strain best through muslin, so it's fully clarified.

To serve: Add 85ml of the cocktail base into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and agitate lightly for one minute until cold. Strain to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
