Vehicles in German Town Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Authorities reported they were alerted by a man who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Police say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found multiple other marked automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state initial examinations suggest the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have asked to the residents for details.

An important political figure commented the attack rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he stated on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at people of migrant background in five years prior.
